New Social Apps Come To Helio, Virgin Phones

Virgin Mobile USA today announced the availability of two new social networking apps: Connect and Mobile Lounge. Connect gives customers with Helio phones a single dashboard that displays updates from Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube, and RSS feeds all in one place. It will also be available on Virgin phones next quarter. Mobile Lounge is a community just for Virgin customers, offering profiles, micro-blogs, photos, and discussion. Users can earn points for posting, redeemable for service credits. Mobile Lounge is available on all phones that support VirginXL. Both applications are free, requiring only data service.
