Verizon Offers Static IP Service to Business Customers

Verizon Wireless recently rolled out a new service aimed at its business customers. It is now offering a static Internet Protocol option that runs on the private network it makes available for businesses. Static IP allows IT admins to assign each handset its own individual IP address, giving businesses more control over those devices and how they access the network and network services. The service is not compatible with BlackBerries, and costs $500 to set up and then $60 per month per handset.
