give up my iphone 3g for the new blackberry storm??

I purchased the new iPhone 3G two weeks ago now hearing that verizon is coming out with the blackberry storm i am a little confused on what I should do?? I am still under the 30 days so i should be okay returning but I don't know how these two phones even compare to eachother.. I hate that I cant send pictures messages on my iphone drives me nuts but I love all the other neat things it does... ahhhh help me decide pros cons.. I love verizon wireless service over at&t anyday had them before better service then I have now with my iphone
I was in your boat, and service is different everywhere.

Bad:
1. Too many dead zone in Phoenix Metro. I was having serious issues Scottsdale/Gilbert/Chandler
2. Had to go around with a charger at all times
3. Drop calls (They have a new firm...

I sell VZW, so you know my bias. I say since you have two different companies, you can return your iphone under the 30 days, pick up a storm, try it for 30 days, and see which you like better. If there's any overlap, see if you can use both side by si...

Not bad...

$249.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate is a good price considering the SIM card and a micro SD card are included. Wow! A person with a $100 NE2 credit would make out like a bandit! $99.99 after rebate.
Not sure how long they'll keep doing this, but Blackberry also has a trade-up program where they will send you $50 or more if you send them your old phone or PDA. Pretty soon you could be paying less than the cost of the micro SD card for the Storm!

Early Purchase Info

Please let us know of any early purchase information via telesales or otherwise. Last time we got some very good scoops on picking up the Curve a week prior to its release via telesales.

Will this ever be coming to Sprint?

I've still got a year left on my Sprint contract and while I do like my Curve, they haven't had a new Blackberry model for quite awhile.

I understand Verizon has this one as an exclusive for awhile but it would be great to see Sprint get it some time next year.

The update to the current Curve is already out in Germany. Expect to see it in the US in 2009. What carrier will wind up with it first or how long it will take Sprint to get its version is probably anyones guess

Changing the Pearl for the Storm

I already have the pearl and would like to change and get the storm. My upgrade is not until the summer of 2008. Can I get the storm for the sale price and just renew my contract? Or would I have to pay full price for the storm and if so, what will the full price be?
Retail price would probaly be around $425.00 but im not sure

luckily, you are now eligible as Summer 2008 is in the past.

Two questions

1 - Does the 3.2 MP camera have a flash?

2 - if you wish, can you turn the click noise off

Thanks in advance for your answers 😁
definitely has a flash. not sure about the click, but i would assume so.
The camera has a flash. I'm sure you can turn the click sound off if the sound comes from the speakers, but there is an audible click when the screen is depressed and snaps back up, just like when you push a button on a computer or phone keypad. That ...

It does have a flash

I played with the Storm today and didnt pay close attantion but thinking back it sounded like it was the phone and not coming from the speaker. But again that idea was not in my head and I was focusing on a dozen other things. ...

Voice n Internet Plans for the Storm

Can anyone make heads or tails of which plan would be right for the Storm that would include the following

450 minutes
VZ Navigator
Unlimited MMS, SMS
Unlimited Internet Browsing

Can you attach the Premium Voice plan to the Blackberry Storm or do you have to go with a plan specifically designed for the Blackberry, and if so which Blackberry plan would include the above mentioned features??
Select $59.99 w/blackberry internet and email for $29.99 add-on. unless you need corporate email, then I think that plan would be $99.99 total.

Size?

Blackberry website lists the Storm as 4.43x2.45x.55. Verizon lists it at 4.1x2.2x.5. Which is it? Not a deal breaker, but that's a big difference.
Good eye on that. I cant answer you, but i can say i was at the Storm event in NYC today and held the demo unit for a few seconds and it's definitely smaller than it looks in pictures. It quite sleek, not robust like the pictures. I wouldn't be surp...
