Verizon Wireless announced some details regarding the plans that will be available for the upcoming BlackBerry Storm. Because the Storm has global capabilities, Verizon is offering a slew of plans that focus on overseas travelers. The Global Value Plan offers discounted roaming charges on calls made to and from 130 countries for $4.99 per month. Verizon is also offering a global flat-rate email, data and messaging plan that covers the U.S. and abroad. The GlobalEmail Data Plan will cost $70 per month alone, or $65 per month when attached to a voice plan. Verizon Wireless has yet to announce the retail price of the Storm, and when it will become available.

Expensive Data Plan

$64.99 per month for data seems very expensive. My Moto Q only runs me about 35 per month. Is this rate only for overseas? or is there going to be a cheaper rate within the US?

Verizon US plans will be much cheaper

It's the same data plan offered for the 8830. I don't even know why they bothered dropping this info. Nothing new... I am sure they will have the $29.99 Unlimited Email and Web feature or the $44.99 Unlimited Blackberry which includes Enterprise.
