Beginning this coming Sunday, Sprint customers will be able to purchase the HTC Touch Pro from select national retailers, including Best Buy. It will be available via all Sprint sales channels starting November 2. The HTC Touch Pro will cost $299.99 with a two-year subscriber agreement, after a $100 mail-in-rebate and a $25-or-higher data add-on or Everything plan with data. The HTC Touch Pro is similar to the Touch Diamond, but adds a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

I'll wait for something better

It's a little short on memory for hardcore business users 512 mb of RAM and the OS takes a lot of it and only a 1 gig card? compared to heavyweights such as the iphone and soon to be release BB Storm

Windows Mobile (prone to freezes) is still there which isn't the greatest. If you are used to Windows mobile quirks, it's probably no big deal

2.8" screen is a little too small for a touch screen phone

You'll know it's in your pocket because it's thick! 18mm is not thin by any standard these days.

TouchFlo was a little slow on the DIamond (requires a lot of processor power) Hopefully the bump in power will help

Good effort, but the phone world moves fast. It could easily be forgotten.

I am a business user of the Mogul. Yes, I have found the memory on the Mogul a little weak however it is workable and has proved to be an indispensible tool for me. I feel the ugrade to 512 Ram will be more than sufficient for most users. A device of...

This is by far the most impressive phone sold by any US carrier. It tops the iphone 3g, the g1, and the Dare period. 512mb is a crap load of memory the g1 has 71mb, the Instint only has 32mb, need more get the Diamond it has 4gb which gives it a big a...

You are on crack if you think 512mb for a PDA is a 'little short'. I wonder how 'hardcore business users', undoubtably referring to yourself, made it by all these years. Name one phone that has more RAM -AND- ANY combination of apps that could conce...

Touch Pro - Nice Phone

I picked up a Touch Pro at BestBuy yesterday. It was a really great deal at 299.99 less a 20% discount under my reward zone account ('til 11/1/200😎 - out the door for $240 +tax and no mail in rebate. BestBuy had 8 phones shipped to each store the sales rep told me.

PROS: Looks like a nice replacement for my Mogul and has many new applications which were missing from the Mogul. JetCET 5 is added so you can network print; YouTube capability has been added and the Opera browser is nice except it won't work with at some of my secure financial sites. The GPS works well and I added Google Maps for Mobile 6 and a few other Windows apps.

CONS: The touch interface is not as well done as the iPhone and sometimes is slow to respond but still w...

The Touch Pro touch interface

Is it multi-touch like the iPhone?
No multi touch, so you can't do the pinch motion. You can slide your finger around the "D-Pad" in circular motions to zoom in and out of different applications and control music though, which is neat and a little less awkward than the iphone method IM...

Yes, but there are limitations because it is using an adapted version of Windows Mobile. The iphone was purpose built for multi-touch from day 1

Cant wait to get mine!

I think the touch flo interface is cool. 😎 Htc makes some of the best phones the only one better than this bad boy is the HD and that one doesn't seem like it will be coming to the US. Great phone design, full keyboard, and impressive cutting edge features. Good things come to those who wait... 😉 Thanks Htc

This phone made my decision...

I am an HTC fan and I have to say that the diamond is bag of mixed feelings for me. I think it is an awesome device but a little on the small side but not bad. I Do not like touch keypads! Camera awesome but lack of flash almost renders it useless in darker situations. A much larger ram is definitely a great improvement over previous HTC products. Interface is also very worthy. With this said, I feel the touch pro over the diamond is going to be the much better choice for me especially at that price.
