Sony Ericsson to Offer Different Xperia X1 Models

Rather than offer one version of the Xperia X1, Sony Ericsson will have two different models, each with a different radio configuration. The X1a is earmarked for North America, Latin America and Australia. Exactly which 3G bands will be supported by this model was not made clear, though the original spec sheet for the X1 included the 850MHz, 1700MHz, and 1900MHz bands. The official spec sheet has changed, however. The X1a's video recorder has also been altered to record at 24 frames per second rather than the originally specified 30fps. The X1i will be sold in other regions. An announcement about its availability is expected by early November.

funny thing is:
it's gonna be the very first generic/unlocked phone with WCDMA IV, if the info is true
