Telstra Nearly Finished with eHSPA Network Upgrades

Australia-based Telstra is among the first wireless providers in the world to upgrade its network to enhanced HSPA, also known as HSPA+. The eHSPA network will be capable of download speeds of 21Mbps. Other network operators around the globe plan to upgrade to eHSPA / HSPA+ before adopting LTE in the coming years. AT&T recently mentioned that it will continue to use its HSPA network for at least another two or three years, though it didn't mention specifically that it would choose to upgrade to eHSPA / HSPA+ before deploying LTE.
