UGH!

The phone will be OUT OF DATE by the time it gets released. Gag me. If you really want to "network test", just ask John Mayer how his has been working. He's had it for a year!

Way to drop the ball, AT&T.
Speaking of "out of date" phones, whatever became of the SMT5700 that at&t was supposed to carry?
...
the phone has been out all over the world except for at&t? this is embarrasing and a rip off to its customers that prolly pay higher rates than any other developing market that alreasy has it out.
bS at&t!! you guys can't run a business right by your...

should be renamed the Blackberry Hype

It's been hyped from AT&T since May. Now it's just a game to see who will Launch first. Blackberry Bold on AT&T or Blackberry Storm on VZW. Place your bets.
Works for me. My wife can't upgrade until February, anyway! 🤣
I bet that I don't care 😛
If I were a RIM stockholder, I'd be calling for this clown's head on a plate. Instead, I'll just move to Verizon and buy a Storm.

Look at this way....

It's better to have a phone released later than to release it with all kinds of problems, like Verizon's Original Motorola Q.
Yea, I'm sure they don't want something messed up.

Still, other carriers were able to release it on time, unless if AT&T is installing its own 'goodies' into the device.
...
RIM would rather have the device and AT&T's network working properly (i.e. handing off 3G to GSM, and enough 3G capacity) so that they're not filled with complaints / returns and damage their image.

Same Chipset?

does this mean that RIM and Apple selected the same "all Band" chipset to make it more cost effective to produce a true world phone?

NO, its called a crappy 3G network!
...
I think this is all BS cuz alot of entry level handsets hit release date on time... I'm sure they don't want to divert sales of the iphone until verizon releases the storm then they'll launch it and say "hey, we have a new blackberry too!"
