Sprint Cancels PC Downloads from Music Service

Sprint will no longer allow Sprint Music customers to download songs to both their phone and PC. The news came from a service update page on the Sprint web site. It reads, in part, "Beginning October 15, 2008, Sprint Music Store purchases will no longer include a second PC copy. All Sprint Music Store purchases will continue to be conveniently delivered directly to your Sprint handset." Customers will still be able to back up downloaded music from their handset to their PC, but it cannot be transferred to other mobile devices.
