Samsung Eyeing SanDisk

Samsung Electronics is considering whether or not to purchase SanDisk, maker of memory card products. Samsung is already the world's largest producer of Flash memory. It pays SanDisk a reported $500 million each year to license certain memory-related patents. Samsung said it is exploring options, including an outright purchase or an alliance, but no final decisions have been made.
