Today Verizon Wireless and Samsung announced the u310 Knack, a new entry-level clamshell. The Knack targets users who need a simple communications device. It has dedicated 911, in case of emergency, speakerphone and voice command buttons. It also has large buttons, a 2.2-inch display, and large on-screen fonts. The Knack has color-coded hatches and buttons that match those of its accessories to make for easier use. It uses Verizon's CDMA 1X network for data, and can access some of Verizon's messaging services. It will cost $40 with new agreement.
