A Microsoft job posting recently appeared in the Seattle area that seeks a person with skills that could help build, manage and bring to market a mobile application store called SkyMarket. According to the job posting, SkyMarket would be similar in effect to Apple's iPhone Apps Store and the recently announced Android Market, only it would support the forthcoming Windows Mobile 7 platform instead. It would be a delivery vehicle for developers who wish to create content for mobile phones and a place for consumers to find applications for their phones. No specific timeframe for SkyMarket's release was mentioned in the job post, nor were any other details about Windows Mobile 7 provided.
