Qualcomm Hits 20Mbps Downloads with HSPA+ Data Call

Today Qualcomm said it has made the world's first data call with HSPA+ technology, a stepping stone between HSPA and Long Term Evolution. The call reached download speeds of 20Mbps across a 5MHz channel. Expected peak speeds of the current HSPA+ technology are 28Mbps for downloads and 11Mbps for uploads. Future revisions to HSPA+ will boost those speeds further.
