AT&T Boosts 3G Network Speeds

AT&T has completed upgrades to its HSPA 3G network that increase uplink and downlink data speeds. Under real-world conditions, LaptopConnect users can expect downlink speeds between 700 kbps and 1.7 Mbps. This is up from 600 kbps to 1.4 Mbps. As for uplink speeds, they will range between 500 kbps and 1.2 Mbps, up from between 500 kbps and 800 kbps. AT&T's 3G network is present in 275 markets in the U.S. AT&T plans to add 75 more markets by the end of 2008.
