BREW Platform Adds Flash Support

Today Qualcomm and Adobe announced that the BREW mobile platform will integrate Adobe's Flash technology. By offering Flash within BREW, developers for the BREW platform will be able to create mobile applications that take advantage of the web. The revised BREW platform will add new layers of functionality, including touchscreen user interface tools, better connectivity support, access to device databases and multimedia support. The new BREW will be open to developers, handset manufacturers and network operators. It will also be backward compatible with existing BREW applications and should be available by the third quarter of 2008.

java?

i dont know too much about it, but how does java fit in with brew and flash?
