Today two politicians proposed a bill, the HANG UP Act, that would make it illegal to engage in voice calls while in an airplane that's in the air. Rep. Peter DeFazio and Rep. Jerry Costello, both Democrats, argued that the American public despises the idea of in-flight calling. Their bill, however, would allow passengers the ability to use cell phones for Internet and messaging use.
