TeaShark is offering a beta version of its mobile browser for free. The browser is built off the same core as the S60 browser found on Nokia phones and has features such as tabbed browsing. When launched, TeaShark automatically re-opens your last browsing session, including all open tabs. Bookmarks can be tagged and grouped with colors, you can select and cut-and-paste text directly to search bars, as well as dial phone numbers from web pages. TeaShark will remember search queries and will auto-complete them when typed in the future. In order to use TeaShark, your phone must be Java MIDP 2.0 capable. It can be downloaded directly to your phone via the WAP site, or downloaded to a PC.

WAP address??????

I don't have full internet access on the computer. What's the WAP address for teashark?
Not too surprisingly, it's wap.teashark.com.

The WAP address is the second link under the news item itself.

My review

Just got it to work after searching around for the right link. (three links I found didn't let me download it. The 4th did.)

I have a Katana II with Sprint, and live in a minimal service area. Teashark takes awhile longer to load pages, but once loaded it handles just like a regular page. Not watered down. Scrolling around the page is smooth, reminicent of the iPhone. I love how I can now do ebay, where as before my browser couldn't handle the page correctly.

So far so good, TeaShark!

It's not perfect, but it's better than my standard browser. (Netfront, I think...)
Its an ok browser. Nothing to great other than the tabbed browsing. It kept crashing for me on my Wing. I know its still beta but I think I will stick with my opera mini 4 for now. And follow up on the newer releases.

Motorola Q

Does anyone know if this will install on the various flavors of the Q?
it worked on the blackjack (win mo 6) so i am assuming it will work on the q. it didnt run very well. i tried typing in a web address and when typing "dru" it inputs "g.." maybe it was just me. i deleted the app pretty quickly. sticking with opera.
