Updated: Clarified AT&T's stance on contracts

AT&T has made SIM cards available on its web site that can be purchased without a handset. The price of the SIM card is $5 after a $5 rebate. It can be bought with or without a contract, including for pre-paid service. It can be used with an existing or other unlocked handset.
