Sprint's WiMax Venture In Flux
Nov 2, 2007, 8:03 AM by (staff)
Sprint is reconsidering how best to move forward with its planned WiMax network roll-out. Though Sprint had announced a partnership with Clearwire in July, the two companies never signed a solid agreement. The options under consideration include moving forward as planned, merging with Clearwire, selling the WiMax unit to Clearwire, or selling the WiMax unit to investors. Sprint reiterated that it is committed to WiMax, but conceded that it can't make firm plans until a new CEO is hired. In the mean time, temporary CEO Paul Saleh has said the company will work hard on improving both customer service and its handset lineup to bolster its sagging core business.

I used to have sprint, they had good coverage in P-town but customer care sucked.
I actually heard that our company will be starting up a Customer care program for Sprint.
Good news for us and them. They need to focus on the core business so they still have some customers to enjoy their new Wimax network, if it even rolls out
