Nokia plans to include software on E and N series phones that will enable much easier access to Wi-Fi hotspots. The third-party software from Devicescape requires users to log in and create an account. Once the account is created the software on the phone will automatically recognize when the phone has entered a Wi-Fi hotspot. It will use the hotspot's DNS protocol to send a request to Devicescape, which will verify the user's log-in information and connect the phone to the network. The user will not have to enter any information in on the phone to join the Wi-Fi network. The software is also available for download.
