Sprint has added the New York City metropolitan area to its initial list of markets for WiMax technology. Samsung, which is already working on several of the other markets, will build the New York-area network for Sprint. No timeline for launching this network has been announced, but some of the test markets are set to go live by the end of 2007, with others following in 2008.
