AT&T is launching a new music service today that makes an additional 2.7 million songs from independent artists available to subscribers. eMusic Mobile is the company providing the service, which allows for over-the-air downloading of songs directly to user handsets. Sold in packs of five for $7.49 (~$1.50 per song), users get a track for their handset, as well as a higher quality MP3 version that they can download to their PC. The eMusic store allows users to browse and preview songs before buying. The service is available on the Nokia N75, as well as the Samsung a717, a727 and the new SYNC. More handsets will be compatible with the service in the future.

Laugh it up. Cuz while you're laughing at paying .50 cents more for a song... I'm laughing at you for paying 40+ dollars a month for service you can't use! 🤣 🤣
