AT&T VP Jim Cicconi today said the company now supports FCC Chairman Kevin Martin's proposal for 700 MHz spectrum. Martin's plan called for any networks built in the new spectrum to allow any device to work on it and any application to run on it, banning the typical device-locking business models used on wireless networks today.
