GSMA Picks Motorola For Pay-Buy-Mobile Program

Motorola will provide the near-field communications-enabled handsets for the GSM Association's Pay-Buy-Mobile trials. The program will be global in reach, encompassing a number of different operators spread in countries around the world, and will make use of NFC and a SIM/Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) to promote contactless payments. All the major credit card companies will be involved. Motorola will also help the GSMA with the development process.
