Palm made security updates available on its Web site that will protect the Palm OS-based Treo 650, 680 and 700p from a flaw found in its system. The flaw specifically targets the Find feature when in the "Make Emergency Call" screen. The flaw lets hackers peek at search results from the Treo's Contacts, Calendar, and Email applications. Hackers can not do more than view the search results, but Palm still issued a fix. People interested in updating their Treos need to download the .prc client to their PC and install via syncing.
