Cricket Now Offers Pay By Week Plan

Cricket today announced a new weekly pre-paid calling plan featuring unlimited local and long distance calls as well as text and picture messaging. Cricket by Week costs $18 for seven days of service, with no additional fees other than roaming or international calling. Cricket is the first pre-paid carrier to offer unlimited service for less than a month. Cricket's monthly plan with the same features costs $50, a $22 savings over four weeks of the new weekly plan.

seriously if you have to pay your cell a week at a time you have more serious problems than your phone bill.

Actually, for someone who may travel and be out of that area a lot, it's terrific. If you plan to spend one week per month in that market, on average, you only pay for that one week for a local phone.

Wait am i missing something, 18*4=72, and the monthly plan is onlt $50. Why would you pay per week and end up payin more? Maybe im missing something, can smeone clearify this for me?

cricket has bought spectrum in chicago and it looks like they will be offering service there, but it'a huge area to build out so i can't even guess on the time frame
