LG today announced:

  • VX-8700: The 8700 is a new addition to LG's Shine family of phones, and the first one for the US. This mid-range clamshell has EV-DO for data and a 2 megapixel camera. The 8700 supports stereo Bluetooth and a microSD slot for storing media. The exterior casing is metal, and has a brushed aluminum appearance. The exterior display is a narrow vertical strip that blends in with the metal casing until activated.
  • LX-570: The 570 is a music centric phone with a design similar to the Fusic that has a touch-sensitive, exterior music controller D-pad. It is a clamshell with an integrated antenna that also features EV-DO data support, a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and an FM transmitter and radio. The music player plays most formats and has a microSD slot for storage.
