Motorola today announced a new line of five entry-level phones designed for emerging markets. Often some of these models are released in the US as entry level models for national carriers or with pre-paid carriers. Two of the models were announced with GSM 850/1900, so it is likely they will be sold here.
- W375: A small, slim clamshell with GSM/GPRS 850/1800/1900. Instead of an external LCD, the W375 has light up icons to signal new messages, low battery and other events. The W375 also packs a VGA camera, FM radio, speakerphone, and USB mass storage mode to transfer data.
- W208: A tiny, lightweight candybar with dual-band 850/1900 GSM (no GPRS). Also features an FM radio and speakerphone.
