Motorola Adds To Both Ends of CDMA Lineup

Motorola today announced two new CDMA handsets, the V3m at the high end, and the W315 towards the low end. Each basically improves on an existing model.
- V3m: Upgrades the V3c RAZR for CDMA networks by adding a memory card slot, music player and stereo headphone support. The V3m includes all the noteworthy features of its predecessor, including Bluetooth, 1.3 MP camera, and location based services.
- W315: An entry level CDMA clamshell. The W315 has rounded styling reminiscent of the PEBL as well as the PEBL's vertical monochrome external display. Inside there is a color screen, but no other frills.

Nothing against anyone posting here but I have posted before and will post again that Cingular is getting the V3i. Right now it is scheduled to be dropped by the 27th of this month.

Cingular bought exclusive rights to the original V3 and, just like everyone else, Verizon followed suit after Cingular's contract ended.
Besides, I don't see any V3i's on the shelf at Cingular stores..

Yeah, but Verizon had the E815 which came with a memory card slot and a 1.3 mp camera. Given it wasn't a RAZR, but it was still pretty similar to this in features.

what is that? does that mean it will have a 3.5mm headphone jack as opposed to the 2.5mm?
No. There's no room for a round plug. It will be the same as the V3c.
Verizon's Razr V3M
Is this better than the v3i GSM? We do have a 1GB removable memory...Is the external screen 65K or 262K...? Preliminary from one source P/S say 65K. But this maybe non-reliable at this early stage. We really need the comparable test and I await the chance...

Battery Life
Will this new updated version of the RAZR CDMA have better battery life than the V3C and quicker menu access?

There is a software upgrade for the V3c in the works right now.. This upgrade should remedy those laggy menus and improve battery life, as well as help avoid such complication on the V3m.

I know that there are some Razr versions T-Mobile carries and some they dont. Is T-Mobile going to carry this new version in the new colors?

So the article link says that the v3m is expected to be release Q2 this year, does "release" in that type of aricle usually mean from Motorola or from Verizon?

Can't say how many times I've heard people complaining about the MP3's and no expansion slot, this will make a lot of people happy, and it'll be nice not to hear about that anymore 😛

I want a motorola razr but the only reason I'm not getting one is the f.... Verizon IU (interface Sh...) that thing makes any phone look ugly.. I hate verizon for that.. Y verizon Y? u are ruining ourselves.. what a waste of a phone if it comes out for verizon.
As much as I despise their new UI even I am getting tired of blasting it. It sucks, and it's here to stay, at least for now.
Guess I won't be upgrading any time soon. It's an easy way to avoid the new UI.
