A Motorola spokesman today confirmed that the manufacturer has terminated its relationship with Cool.Prepaid. The new MVNO no longer has any of the three Motorolas advertised on its website in stock, and Phone Scoop has been told Cool will not be carrying any additional Motorola models the carrier announced it would sell. Sears still has Cool.Prepaid's three launch models in stock as of today. In addition to its handset troubles, Cool has not yet been able to deliver its SIM-only service, either at Sears or from its online store. Phone Scoop contacted Cool.Prepaid, but a spokesman was unable to share the MVNO's current status or future plans.

So I was reading "HOW IT WORKS"...

Is it me or do they have plenty of grammatical errors on their site... I found his very simple typo:
"We know that you are looking for the best features for your money, THAT why we made sure you..."

They also state: "Our network has over two hundred and seventy million subscribers..."

HOW CAN YOU BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY WHEN YOU HAVE SPELLING ERRORS AND INCORRECT INFORMATION...LOL

JUST MY 2 CENTS
i found a type on my posting... sorry...lol...

it should read:

I was on the website and saw that the typos were corrected. From what I hear about Moptorola is that cool stopped doing business with them. There were reports recently about problems with the razor.

Shady Past?

Lifted from Fierce Wireless:

As we reported last week, another prepaid MVNO called cool.Prepaid entered the market running on Cingular's network and offering Motorola's RAZR V3 handsets. Reports are circling the Internet today that Motorola has rescinded its agreement to provide handsets for subscribers to the MVNO and, we assume, the negotiations to have Motorola help cool.Prepaid bring iRadio services to its customers are also over.

While we can only speculate as to the reasons for Motorola's decision, a reader tipped us off to some information regarding cool.Prepaid's CEO's previous ventures in the wireless space. In 2003, cool.Prepaid Chairman and CEO Marvin Jemal and former colleagues Stephen Jemal and Jacob Dresdner agreed to pay...

It would be interesting to see if they were behind those stupid "booster antennas" that go underneath your battery and supposedly boost signal even though it never actually connected to your phone.....

It would definitely fit their profile....

cool updates online and phone stores

cool.prepaid just wrote to let us know that they will immediately discontinue selling moto phones, and have updated their store so that new subscribers can order a stand-alone SIM card to use in their unlocked GSM phones.

anyone had this "cool" prepaid product or heard of this company?

please state.
Yeah, the guy Marvin Jemal used to own the Nobidy Beats the Wiz stores in NY/NJ. They sold cool prepaid Moto phones at Sears.

Go to their website at www.coolprepaid.com to see what is left.....not much.

Now What?

If Motorola just cut them off, there must be a pretty serious reason. They wouldn't cut off potential sales just for laughs.

Since Motorola is the only brand that CoolPrepaid sold, what do they do now?

If Motorola just dumped them, why would another manufacturer want to do business with them?

I am sure that Sears is wondering what is going on as well.
