Updated. Club Sony Ericsson is reporting and Sony Ericsson has now confirmed that they will today announce a new Walkman phone for the US. The W810i is a candybar style quad band phone with EDGE, with looks similar to the W800. In addition to 850 and EDGE, the W810i also adds music playback controls to the D-pad and a button to access the phone's shortcuts menu. The W810i has less built in memory but still maintains all other features including the 2 megapixel camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth and Memory Stick Pro Duo slot. Sony Ericsson also announced a pair of speaker accessories for their Walkman phones today - a pocket-sized portable set and a desktop unit. The W810i will be available worldwide early in the second quarter.

Thats hott!

Loves it! I want this phone, i can finally use it on cingular and have good reception. sucks about the loss of fm. Oh well it's still sexy!! 😁
Damn that is a greet phone. No FM radio does suck but considering FM radio sucks where I am [nyc] and every station sounds the same it's not a huge loss.

Don't think you will see this on Cingular though as they have an exclusive deal to sell only ...

Expandable memory??

I know it says it has limited memory, but does anybody know if it has a transflash, or mini SD card? That would, in my opinion, be a very stupid mistake on sony's part. Big camera, MP3, and no expandable memory. If so, tsk tsk sony. Please, say it aint so.
SE isn't THAT crazy - but it uses the Memory Stick format.

It'll come with a 512mb card and the capacity is up to 2gb, so you PSP owners are lucky.

Oh, and SE, you guys owe me a keyboard. I broke one from drooling. 😁
Like the W800 and K750, it has a Memory Stick PRO Duo card slot. As HurricaneDonald noted, it indeed comes with 512MB, and supports up to 2GB.
