The FCC approved a new ruggedized Pocket PC Phone from Panasonic. The Toughbook CF-P2 has both GSM/GPRS 850/1900 as well as 802.11b Wi-Fi and Blutooth. It also features n full numeric keypad, LCD screen with light sensor for automatic backlight adjustment and SD slot. It runs Windows Mobile 2003 SE. Since it is part of Panasonic's Toughbook line, the CF-P2 is ruggedized against a range of shock, temperature and humidity. However it is not designed for use in extreme conditions (the arctic, deserts, under water). The toughbook will most likely be available through Panasonic and their resellers, not through carriers.
