In addition, the company announced new pink and light-blue color variants of the existing RAZR V3. The V3i, V3c, and blue RAZRs are expected to launch before the end of the year. The pink RAZR will have limited availability in most markets.

Is the V3c a digital or triband phone?
All digital.

RAZR is overrated.

I bet these phones will still have the stupid address book where if you have 15 S's you have to sit there and scroll down to the one you want.

And the battery on it will go out even quicker if ur listening to iTunes and whatnot. ๐Ÿ˜•
Razr is the most over marketed piece of garbage on the market. If anyone notices, these features have been on phones for well over a year here in the US. What's the big fuss?

I've held one, and it's not ergonomical to hold a piece of paper!

date for verizon?

does anybody know when the razr will be available for verizon?
There are many dates, but the day after Thanksgiving is looking good for verizon corp stores, best buys might have them early..very soon ๐Ÿ˜
...
I've heard from a store salesman as well that it will be released November 28th. I know, I know another sales rep reply but if this date always seems to pop-up here and there then there must be some validity to it? ๐Ÿ˜‰

No iTunes for Verizon...lame

The V3c looks great but no MicroSD and no iTunes? Very lame...
iTunes has an exclusive agreement with Cingular and Motorola. It can only be used on GSM phones and the Cingular network. At least as of now.

Verizon finally gets Motorola to fix their phonebook problem.

The new CDMA Motorola RAZR is going to have Verizon Wireless' Standard User Interface. All new VZW phones will have the menu. No more crappy Moto phonebook with every contact to scroll through! I may get a motorola if that's the case.
I've never cared for Moto's menu system. My first pohne was a Moto V120c. The brand new E815 still uses a version of that ancient menu.
If Moto wants VZW to sell it's phones, they had better use what they tell them. Samsung, LG, and Audiovox already use the new interface. Imagine some day when a Moto and Nokia have the same menu!
The earth may stop spinning.
I work for an independent agent for verizon and its true that the new razr and all verizon phones (except nokia) will use verizon's new interface. But the razr will have crippled bluetooth where as the new nokia 6256i will be the only verizon phone t...

Newer firmware versions on RAZRs and V551s have the name search option in the phonebook. I upgraded my software in my V3 to R374_G_0E.42.08R (you can check this by entering *#9999# quickly from the homescreen).

With this firmware I went to Phonebo...

is T-mo getting the V3i?

Sounds like they perfected the V3 with the V3i (well, not really perfected no phone is perfect, but this time, Moto's got it right)

The V3i makes me torn between two phones (Samsung's t809 and the V3i)... but if V3i is not coming to T-mo, then it will be a clear-cut choice.

any info?
Last i heard nothing more than a rumor thought was that t-mo was getting the new ones and cingular was not. any one else have anyhting firm on this?

v3x Street Date Impacted?

Hello,
How does the announcement/release of these phones impact the v3x street date (which I believe to be Q4 - which gets more narrow by the day)?

I've been patiently waiting for the v3X to come out and make use of the new Cingular 3G network.

Any ideas?
Aro
The V3x will probably not be out until the first or second quarter of 2006, once the Cingular 3G network gets built out more.

To all you Crazer heads!

Just so you know... Customer service, Telesales, and Store reps do not know when this phone will be released. So please don't call, ask a store rep, or hound customer service for questions that do not have answers yet.

Thank you for your time. ๐Ÿ™‚
yea its completely rediculous that a customer would call costomer service with a question.... how can people be so irresponsible??

do your job buddy
...
Hmmm... I see where your coming from. In sales, we need to make quota. We also need to make up for people who deactivate their plan in less then 365 days each month. So that adds even more to the quota. Do I ever think about next months quota? Never. ...

Motorola E1070

What carrier is getting the E1070 and when will it be released?
I believe that's not going to be a US model. It is a W-CDMA/UMTS 3G phone. Cingular is pretty much skipping UMTS and going to HSPDA. UMTS is much more common overseas. Cingulars only UMTS service was inherited from ATT and it's being shut down as ...

Cingular V3i

Does anyone here on Phonescoop know when Cingular is going to get the new Motorola V3i? And is the price going to be the same as the V3 currently sold by Cingular? Because if it is the same price, then why would someone by the current Razr with less features?

100 song limit in iTunes on this one?

Kinda pointless to have a 1 gig memory card if they limit it to 100 songs.
First, 1GB MicroSD doesn't exist yet. Sandisk has said it would be out by the end of the year, but don't count on it.

Second, the iTunes 100 song limit is imposed by the application which is controlled by Apple. Don't expect that limit to be rais...

V3x vs V3i

๐Ÿ™„ V3i has iTunes, but V3x has a2dp. Why wouldn't they include the A2dp profile on the V3i? If the v3i does have a2dp, they don't mention it on the moto link. ๐Ÿ™„

Any word on if it will be EDGE?

Biggest omission on the original razr IMO was edge. Hopefully moto got this one right! I like the idea of itunes and the flash card and the 1mp cam.

Any official word on high speed internet?
Moto said that all their phones from this year
(i think) wont have edge because of the OS its running
Don't count on it. Last I heard (a few weeks ago) it was subject to this unfortunate issue (that we broke the news on):

The chipset Moto has been using in high-end phones - from RF Micro Devices - ...

Will RAZR be available for Sprint?

Does anyone know which carriers will be getting the CDMA?
With Samsung releasing the "Blade" A900 for SPRINT, I don't think Moto and Sprint will release a Sprint version of the Razr.

The v3c is going to Verizon. It will be interesting to see if Sprint picks this up because they have had a long fued with Motorola - but now that they have Nextel (which is only Motorola) there could be an outside chance that they pick up the RAZR. ...

who will riase the bar with the pink razr

im planning on rocking the pink razr.
they should however call it the pinkx0r. It would make things a lot easier to say. All I have to say, is strafe pink razrs, and we will take over the world... one gsm network at a time.
I saw somewhere in newsweek that it's starting to be called the Pinkx0r. The name is catching on with teens across the nation.
