Samsung today introduced 5 new slim phones for GSM and UMTS networks. All the models feature new "slim and wide" designs that allow phones to slip easily into pockets and still pack plenty of features. All the phones feature music playback, 1.3 MP cameras with video recording and Bluetooth. Only one of the models, the D820, is clearly aimed at the US. The D820 is a slider style phone with quad band GSM/GPRS (EDGE). It features a rotating 1.3 Megapixel camera, video recording including TV-out, mp3 and AAC playback, Bluetooth and a QVGA display. It also packs 73 MB of memory as well as a MicroSD slot in a form factor only 15 mm thick. In addition to a European version of this slider (the D800), Samsung also introduced 2 UMTS clamshell phones as well as a credit card sized GSM candybar called the P300 that is only 9 mm thick.
