Cingular today sent an email to developers confirming that the Nokia 9300 Mini Communicator will be coming to their network. Although the device's American launch has been talked about for over a year now, this is the first time a carrier has provided any official information indicating they would launch the smartphone. The 9300 is the smallest Nokia Series 80 device to date and is shaped like a candy bar Series 40 phone that folds open to reveal a Series 80 interface and QWERTY keyboard. Cingular is also due to launch the Nokia 6682, another Symbian-based phone, soon.
