Sprint Nextel Firms Up Integration Timeline

Sprint Nextel yesterday started work as a single company. There is still much to be done before the two networks, or even the two companies become one, but the newly merged carrier has outlined a step-by-step time frame for unification. Next month Sprint Nextel will begin a media blitz on the merger and changes. Nextel phones and service will be offered in Sprint stores, and purchase options for phones and service should become more similar. Sprint expects to deploy EV-DO Revision A network-wide by late 2007 or early 2008, at which time it will offer iDEN-like Push-To-Talk phones on the CDMA network. To bring the two technologies closer together, Sprint Nextel should begin offering a dual-mode CDMA / iDEN handset in about a year.

I have listened to that actually and it was a very good call.

I just wanted to say that the execs are working very hard to try to move this integration and new products and services smoothly.

They also mentioned a little piece about the affiliates, which I already have touched upon in another forum.

Any questions please ask and if you want to listen to the call let me know and I will provide you with the correct information.
I would love to listen to the call, then I may be able to answer some of my customers questions. Thanks
...
So are they putting EV-DO on the back-burner now?
