Siemens Rethinks Entry Level Phones With New Designs

Siemens yesterday announced two new phones with a focus on simplicity and elegant design. The phones are both tri-band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and have a bright TFT LCD display, however they lack any advanced features like cameras or media players except for PC syncing. Both phones feature sleek, slim designs and simpler navigation. The CF110 is a slider form factor that is 18 mm thick and the CC75 is a slim candybar that is only 12 mm thick - only 1 mm thicker than Motorola's SLVR. Because of their clean, slim designs, Siemens claims the phones will be offered in a "medium price range." Neither phone is currently destined for a US carrier.

They Look nice, BUT...

neither of these phones will ever really be released in the US, and even if they were, they'd be over-priced for the lack of features. Pay for the design? I don't want no "siemens" on my phone. their OS sucks, and they will likely get poor reception

Is it just me...

...or does the CC75 look like a universal remote?
I was thinking the exact same thing, especially with those cheap @zz buttons!

So much for stodgy...

...it's nice to see imaginative designs from Siemens. At least till BenQ unleashes mediocrity upon the brand.

I would hardly call that imaginative muchdrama. Looks pretty lame to me.

Why dont think just give up already. No one gives a rats ass about their offerings. Sony Ericsson and Nokia blow them out of the water
