A presentation was discovered on HP's UK site that includes both the HP hw6500 series mobile messenger as well as an upgraded 6700 series. The 6700 mobile messenger upgrades the RAM from 128 MB to 192 MB and adds 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. However in order to make room for the Wi-Fi, the 6700 series loses one of its memory card slots. It still includes a MiniSD slot, but no longer has a full size SD slot. It is possible that the 6700s will be upgraded to Windows Mobile 5, however the presentation lists the OS as "Windows Mobile 2005 Second Edition," which is not an actual Microsoft OS version - obviously it was copied from the Windows Mobile 2003 SE text of the 6500 series. This also raises the question of whether the picture of the device, which is the same as the 6500 running Pocket PC 2003 SE, is accurate. The new models still include GPS, Bluetooth, quad-band GSM/GPRS (EDGE) a 240 x 240 screen and thumb keyboard. It will be available in two models the 6710, and the 6715 which adds a 1.3 MP camera.
