Documents made public recently on government and industry web sites reveal key information about the Motorola i605, the company's first iDEN phone with Bluetooth. FCC documents reveal a bar-style, Nextel-branded phone with a large color display, speakerphone, voice dialing, GPS, and Java. Separate documents made public on the Bluetooth SIG web site reveal that the i605 will support Bluetooth version 1.2, and the headset, handsfree, dial-up networking, object push, and serial profiles. The i605 is expected to be Nextel's second Bluetooth device, following the recently-launched BlackBerry 7520.

No, no, no...you've got that all wrong. People state the obvious, and then I skewer them.

On a smarter note,...

Good looking phones

I like the big screen, but since Nextel caters to businesses, why do they have such ugly phones? I don't mean this to start a riot. It's just usually, business people want the best looking phones.

Cool looking phones won't work and Nokia 5165's live forever!

I can only speak for Central Florida (Orlando area) but hands down, Verizon has this market COVERED. I've had cingular, I couldn't use my phone in my apartment, and might I add that I lived directly across from Sea World. A couple of friends have nextel and with the exception of direct connect, it's a joke down here. Sprint has tons of dropped calls and static as well as horrible customer service, my g/f has them and would love to get Verizon but has to keep it for work. T-Mobile is the only other respectable one down here but their coverage isn't worth a damn. During the hurricanes, Verizon was the only one that worked a consistent basis over the entire region.
