Standby Time

A measure of battery life. The maximum length of time a mobile phone (for example) can theoretically be continuously powered on and ready to communicate. Idle; not in active use.

In real-world use, battery life is usually less, reduced by the amount of time the device is actively being used, as active use generally consumes much more power from the battery.
