PictBridge

A technology that allows direct connection from a digital camera or camera phone (camera device) to a printer for printing photos, without the need for a PC.

The connection generally requires a USB cable between the camera device and the printer.

Both the camera device and the printer must specifically support PictBridge. No other software or hardware is required aside from the USB cable.
