FACT: Medical Marijuana is a Gateway Drug


Research among people using prescribed and unprescribed medical marijuana show a startling amount of using of other drugs. Recently published, one study found that over 50% of people taking medical marijuana were taking one form of cancer or antibiotic medication, with 7% taking BOTH types of drugs. Another survey found that a large percentage "liked" taking both medical marijuana and their glaucoma medications at the same time. Although unpublished, a soon to be released report states that they have found 'hard evidence' that links medical marijuana with high rates of chemotherapy usage. Surely this is not just a coincidence!


Perhap most startling is a study involving over 1,000 seniors. This widespread survey found that almost 89% of people taking medical marijuana were also taking a hypertensive medication. Authors postulated that since elderly people often hang out in gangs, commonly referred to "nursing homes," that they experience a large amount of peer pressure to try new and different drugs.
