I've got a 3620, which is basically the 3600 with a 65k color screen and a (somewhat) normal keypad. It's an unlocked AWS phone, though, so I don't know how relevant anything I know is..
I use it in Edmonton and I honestly find it to be an amazing phone. I'm only getting about a day's worth out of the battery but I use the GPRS almost constantly so that easily explains it. Reception is fantastic.
I love the phone to death. I almost bought the 3600 but ended up going with the 3620 as it was cheaper on ebay
