If you have a tri or quad band GSM phone with US carrier, call them and as for an unlock code. For international travel they will unlock it for you and then you get a sim card in europe and use your own phone.

Or add international roaming package to your current plan for a few months, usually a min of roaming will cost you $ 0.99
