"During the first quarter of 2006, 12 per cent of all cellular subscription growth came from one country: India.

There were 14.3 million net additions to cellular full-mobility services in India in the period, which was almost double the 7.7 million net additions recorded in the third quarter of 2005, according to the World Cellular Information Service.

Back in 2000, when the cellular market boomed in Western Europe, India accounted for just 0.6% of growth in the global industry. "

Great growth story in India. They also have 300 million middle class, and rising, and more than 1.2 B people nationwide.
