But here are some things you should know:
- There are also "Americas" tri-band phones that are GSM 850(800)/1800/1900. Since these lack GSM 900, you won't get the same coverage or rates in many overseas countries. It should still work - GSM 1800 is pretty common - it's just not ideal for the frequent world traveler.
