Cingular and older triband phones?

From your experience; what older triband phone will work with Cingular in SoCalifornia and Europe? I'm thinking about Ericsson T39 or 520m. Are these phones compatible with Cingular network in SoCal?

duh....no its acualy bogus they have only 2 technologys not the (gsm and tdma)3rd one, (analog) attws has what u need T62/U works in europe, canada and on american analog, digi, and gsm networks so basicly...about 2 % of the country has no coverage.

I'm not sure what you were trying to say, but I do know that the Sony Ericsson T62u will not work in Europe!

Yes, any older tri-band phone like the ones you mentioned should work fine with Cingular in CA and Europe.

As long as you're aware that since those phones lack GSM 800 (850), your phone will be unable to use Cingular's GSM network in most of the country outside CA and NY.
