Sprint Phone for International Use
I travel to Europe (France and Germany), Asia (China, S. Korea, and Japan), and Brazil. Not so concerned about Japan, but would like to know recommendations.
Thanks

I'm in the same case (US, Europe, Africa) but don't want to deal with BB 8830. I'm very familiar with Microsoft environment and can't wait for the phone. For me IP-830 is too bulky.
Sprint is always very good at unlocking the international phones.
For now I have a spare GSM (Motorola MPx220) phone for travel, and decided to upgrade to a PDA with Sprint. Can't wait for I-325 to be out. 😉

Or you might consider temporarily going with a Nextel phone for international use, such as the i930, it's pretty simple now to flipflop between the networks.
^^ don't do that. I've never met a customer who told me they loved or even liked their i930. For the cost of it, there are much better options.
