Samsung t139 in Europe

May 4, 2011, 5:25 PM
Can I take this phone to Europe, get a prepaid SIM card in France, and use it there? It's GSM 850/1900. Do I need to take it to a T-Mobile store here in the US and have it "unlocked"? Will I be charged a roaming fee?

Probably won't work, most wireless carriers in europe use GSM 900/1800

Are you sure about that because I used a different phone in Europe not too long ago. Anyone know this for sure as I want to know as well now that I have a new phone.
