Hong Kong - AT&T

I am traveling to HK in a week and I was wondering if my iPhone with AT&T would work there. I was planning on keeping it shut off to avoid roaming charges but would like to find out if it would even work in case of an emergency.

yeah it will work. if you turn it on, make sure data roaming is off and fetch new data is off also otherwise you'll come back to a $600 phone bill.
